Crystal Structure Analysis

A large fraction of the capacity of the SMoCC-staff consists of providing X-ray structure analyses on a service basis. This includes selection of samples, performing the diffraction experiments, determining the crystal structure, discussing the results with the clients, preparing the final text, tables and pictures and supporting the preparation of manuscripts for publication, if desired. If you have samples that require special conditions (cooling, protective atmosphere etc.) please discuss the problem with us, so we can adapt the sample preparation procedure to the requirements. We provide support when there are difficulties with crystal growth, too. We will help you with the interpretation of difficult structures (twinning, diffuse scattering, disorder, modulated structures).
